Hello all,

I have a problem with my mic ,my recipient cant hear me clear enought or at all. The wierd thing is
- If I switch to speaker, all works fine.
- If I use earphones, all works fine.
- if I restart the phone, it works fine for several calls but then the problem repeats.

I think the problem started after the last system software update but I'm not sure to tell. The phone is quite new (2 months old) and this is quite frustrating since talking is a basis requirement. I read few forums and found the problem is quite common.

Anyone knows how to resolve? is ASUS aware of the issue?
I think it's a software problem but it realy does not matter, this has to be resolved. If I can't make calls, the phone is useless.

BTW, I run SMMI test for BoardMic Test per below link, it sounds OK.

Dear bill2_chang_ASUS,
I am reading the posts and find ASUS response quite concerning. In case they don't understand a phone with no capability to speak is just as good as a brick. It can also be used as a door stopper. Many users, for over two weeks, are having difficulties to talk using ASUS brand new devices. Either ASUS don't care or they don't know how to fix the problem. The result is VERY bad, such a problem should have been found before releasing the update. But once that happend, an immediately fix should have been provided. Eventually users will dump ASUS...PHONE = SPEAK. Themes are nice to have. I hope my patient will last till ASUS provide the fix.
That is at least my personal opinion.

ASUS Team, why cant this update be made available to Zenfone5 Users. We are facing this issue from past 4 months. Cant you listen to us. Are we not customers?. Plese make this update availble to us . It's been pathetic using this phone without being able to talk. Please make it fast before we start to regret for buying this phone.

after new update WW_1.17.40.1234_20160304 still i have mic problem, running safe mode mic ok, run SMMI test fail, anysolution, if i reset factory still old patch or the latest patch
