Factory reset will make your phone clean and fresh as new. As a result, the phone runs faster and smoother. To avoid/clear bugs, it is recommended to do a factory reset after every system update/upgrade!
Here are some things to consider before you do factory reset!
1# Backup your files: Save/Copy/Move all your media files, text files, and other important files to an external storage! Factory reset will erase all your files from the phone's internal memory!
2# Backup apps data, and updates: Factory reset will erase your apps too! When you do factory reset, the system restores to it's original state! As a result, you'll lose all the downloaded apps and the updates of built-in apps!
ASUS backup app: This app will let you backup most of your apps and their data files. As per now, it can not backup your built-in apps or their updates!
You will be able to backup all apps data including your call records, messages and tasks with Asus backup app! And don't worry, this app can restore all the levels you played of your favorite games ;)
So, backup your apps data first!
In order to backup apps data; Open 'ASUS backup' app and check 'all data' and click 'start backup'.
Name your backup file and continue!

App Backup & Restore app: This app will backup all your downloaded apps and the updates of built-in apps which is not possible with your default backup app. This app can backup your 'Asus keyboard' updates!

Install the app from play store, and create a backup!

3# Time and Battery: The factory reset and reconfiguration of your mobile phone takes long time! Please consider to do factory reset only if you have enough time! You will be required to have 1 hour of free time at least! And, you can not use your phone during the process! If you are waiting for an important call or message, transfer your sim cards to another phone!
Charge your battery up to 50% or above! 1 hour time period is approximate!

Note: Please, don't forget to move your backups to an external storage from the backup folders!
ASUS backup : copy the 'ASUS' folder from internal storage to your external storage(Memory card).
App Backup & Restore app: copy the 'App_Backup_Restore' folder to your external storage!

After saving all your backups to an external storage, unmount and remove your external storage!

Do the factory reset!

After the factory reset! : When you have done with configuring your phone; Now, it's time to restore your apps!
In order to restore your apps, you need to move your backup folders 'ASUS' and 'App_Backup_Restore' back to your phone storage from the external storage.
After that, open the 'App_Backup_Restore' folder, find the 'App Backup & Restore' app and install it.
Open the app, select all apps and then click 'Restore' button!

After installing all apps and their updates, restore all data files.
