I have 4 pages of "home" screens; the left-most one is my actual home.  If I swipe right from there, it opens a Google "search" page (see the screenshot).  I have another device (Samsung) also running Oreo which does NOT have this, so I assume it's an Asus thing . . . .  If I edit the home screen, this page doesn't show in the list of screens.


Is it possible to turn this off?

   This reply is the best answer.   
Go to (from ZenUI launcher): Preferences -> Home screen -> Scrolling mode. 
From here you can remove the google page from the home screen.
