I got my second Zenfone 2 device 3 days ago, This time the 2.3ghz version.
I've found a big difference in pars of battery life and heat, putting the 2.3ghz version in a very bad position.

It gets very hot in general use, The screen only on very low light settings without any apps running for couple of minutes will heat it very mush as it's not comfortable to take phone calls or put in on the pocket!

I run nothing on my phone yet, I didn't even install anything but the stock apps.

I tried other solutions like changing themes, Playing with settings etc. Nothing worked.

It also happened in earlier version 2.13.* before I've updated my firmware.

The battery life in comparison to my previous device(LG G2) is awful!

I was recommending this device to friends and now I think I won't do so anymore.

Waiting for some professional advice!

You can use Auto Start Manager.
If problem still, you have to go to ASUS service center.

Battery drain to less than 10% and charge fully to 100%. Do this for 3-4 times.
P.S. Mine doesn't even goes above 40 C (except charging)
