How to Wipe Data, Wipe Cache Partition
via Recovery Mode in
Asus ZenFone Selfie/Laser

In 'Recovery Mode', you can find tools to help repair your installation as well as install official OS updates.


RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off your Asus ZenFone Selfie/Laser
2. Press Volume Down + Power to boot up into Recovery Mode
3. Key Functions:
Power Button: ENTER
Volume Rocker: TO MOVE SELECTION/HIGHLIGHT


WIPE DATA
: Hard Reset Method for Factory Reset

1. Enter Recovery Mode
2. Choose Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Note: This action will remove all data from your device


WIPE CACHE PARTITION
: To wipe out residue of previous OS cache/build

1. Enter Recovery Mode
2. Choose Wipe Cache Partition
Note: This action will remove phone cache

is it necessary to do clear cache partition right after doing a factory reset? will it matter if i already have updated the phone after factory reset process then wipe cache partition?

It doesn't matter. You will be performing wipe cache when problem was encountered.
