ZenFone 3 Bug Report
Model: ZC553KL(Max)
RAM: 4GB
Firmware/App Version: 14.0200.1708.324
Location: -
Frequency of Occurrence: -
Rooted: No
App Name: -
Screenshot: -
Description: Please update the kernel otg support.
Plugging an otg fan disables charging.
Seems like the system thinks the otg fan is not ejected, causing no charging if you plug a charger.
Rebooting only results to bootloop unless you plug in the charger or otg.
The phone's useless without it being plug with a charger or an otg is plug.
So much inconvenience.
Update needed.
My older thread has been abandoned.

Hi burningtimes00,

Good day.
Sorry, I got some confused.
Do you mean Kernel Source Code?

For OTG fan,

Hi burningtimes00,

Good day.

You said there's no guarantee for compatibility.
I can accept that.
But the fact that even though I don't use the fan anymore, it already resulted a permanent problem.
Still it random reboots.
At least a way how to revert the problem caused would help.
I already tried hard resetting the phone, wipe data and wipe cache but after that
It would still remain on bootloop unless I plug an otg or charger.
Please.
Help needed.
I really think it's the kernel source code since resetting doesn't work and kernel contains all the device drivers.
How do we solve this?

Hi burningtimes00,

Thanks for your reply.
Is there any error message pop on screen when you encounter this problem?

Do you mean you use official  Kernel Source Code cause this problem?

Hoooh.
Asus.
I'm running out of patience.
I already told you this is a random reboot problem, and by that I meant black out of the screen then the boot logo.
It is already stated that this is a ZC553KL device and is not rooted.
This is not modified with another kernel.
The only one root caused of this is the otg fan, and your stock kernel doesn't seem to support it but it already caused a permanent bug.

Maybe just include an otg toggle feature.
I definitely recommend this in the settings.

Hello burningtimes00
I'm sorry but we can not test all third party accessories on compatibility issues. If you are stuck in a bootloop and can not access recovery mode, please send the phone to your nearest repair center for check ups
