Zenfone 2 Laser ZE550KL restarts automatically suddenly when downloading or even when kept ideally. No background apps running, then also restarts. Please fix this bug with a firmware update.

Yes. The firmware is too buggy. I agree. I dont see updates anytime soon. The company is filled with crooks to be honest. Asus should stop their phone business if they cannot have a good, problem free software. I mean, just look at the the hardware and the design. It's so good man! Proper implementation is only possible with a stable and a good update

Yes. You are right. Asus smartphone's hardware is good but software is worst than any other smartphone company.

Try rebooting to safe mode and check if the issue persist

How to Enter Safe Mode?

Apply to: ZenFone, PadFone, FonePad

When power is off:

1.      Long press power key to boot.

2.      When ASUS logo appears, press and hold volume down key till home screen appears

3.      “Safe Mode” reminder appears on the lower-left of home screen

When power is on:

1.      Long press power key.

2.      Tap and hold “Power Off”.

3.      Tap “OK” of Reboot to Safe Mode window.


4.      “Safe mode” reminder appears on the lower-left of home screen.



How to Exit Safe Mode ?

Restarting your device. Your device will now be exit safe mode.

if the issue persist, perform factory reset and check

I have done factory reset many times in a month but same problem persist. Can't you fix the problem with a firmware update?

I was facing the same problem. But after somany try it was not solved. Thn i did ine stupid thing. Removed my btry. Took one small paper and folded twice and ketp that paper between btry and body. And mount btry. I cant belive it. But my problem solve...
