Hello!
it is neccessary to calibrate the battery when you find that there is uneven discharge of battery per % of charge.
The battery might lose calibration over time or after any Major update. On recalibration your battery stats.bin will be updated.
Steps:
to recalibrate battery, charge your phone to 100% withoutinterruption.
then discharge it normally till 0%(phone gets switched off).
charge it to 100% in switched off condition and keep it inthat state for a little more time.
now switch on your phone in charged condition and unplugwhen ASUS logo appears.
keep the phone unused for 5 mins.
I hope it helps!

Calibrate the battery means to adjust the battery life in term of usage.

From other thread:
Battery re-calibration
1) Wipe cache data
2) Turn on your phone, charge until 100%, use it until the battery drains to 0% and turned off.
3) When the phone turned off, plug in the charger and charge it to 100%
4) Turn on the phone, with the charger still plugged in, when ASUS logo appears, remove the charger.
5) After tuning on, do not use for 5 minutes.

Note the battery will also be calibrated over time by itself. Just let it drop below 50 % charge regularly.

Morning all!

My ZF5 becames a battery strange issue after upgraded to Lollipop.
This upgrade was made by downloading new (original) firmware from Asus website (specific to my release (WW).
Then it was reseted and syncronized with Google (contacts only).
-> The battery drains 30% or more percent in first day of use (practically in standby mode). <-
After this, it appears to consume less than this first day (lasts for five or six days long).
I do not use Internet neither any other overload application.
I just wiped the cache off. Used the phone until 0% of charging. Charged again to 100% (switched off).
This ZF5 is just setted up to higher battery saver, low display brightness and other settings to less consumption.

Please, any idea to help me?

Thank you all!

ZF5 is the best!

How often are we suppose to do this? I always let the battery percentage drop below 5 percent and then charge all the way upto 100 percent everyday.
