Hi,


I am using Airtel 4G in sim1. I am not getting 4G icon !! It's showing either H or H+ only !! When i check with samsung device it's showing 4G for the same sim in same locality!!


When I check sim status in asus ZE520KL it's showing my network type is "HSPA+" and my Signal strength is "-79dBm 19asu". When i insert the same sim in Samsung it's showing network type "LTE" and signal strength is "-82dBm 58asu".


Why i am not getting 4G in my asus device?? Whether it's hardware or software issue?? Please Moderator help me on this !! It's really needy one !!

Hi Zen3bala,

Please follow methods below for troubleshooting:

1. Contact network provider to check if the place where you stay has no signal of mobile network.
2. Tick Data enabled in Settings > More > Mobile networks.
3. Enable Airplane mode for 5 seconds and disable it in Settings >More.
4. Reboot your phone.
5. Update firmware to latest version: Go to Settings > About > System update > Check Update.
6. Access Safe Mode by long pressing power key > tapping and holding Power Off > tapping OK. If your phone works well in Safe Mode, there may be some 3rd apps that cause malfunction. Please reboot your phone and check again if it works well.
7. Backup your data and perform factory data reset.

I followed all your trouble shooting instructions !! Still I am not getting 4G LTE in my device !! I also Checked with my Network Provider, there's no problem in their end !!

Now, what i have to do ?? What's the problem ?? Either Hardware or Software ??

Hi Zen2bala,

Make sure your sim is kept in 1st sim slot.

Make sure the preferred network type is selected as 2G/3G/4G.

Check if data roaming is enabled.

If the issue still persist, Kindly factory reset your device.

Hi,

I did everything u told to me. But nothing works. I'm not at all getting 4G. When i insert the same sim in another 4G handset means I'm getting 4G..!! What the hell wrong with Asus zenfone 3 ?? Whether it's hardware or software problem?? Please asus look into this issue and comeup with solution.

Hi,

Like me others also facing the same problem on 4G and LTE. Asus must address this issue asap. I checked with Samsung, HTC, Xiaomi with the same sim in same locality. I am getting 4G and LTE services in all except Asus Zenfone 3. It really made me to regret for purchased Asus Device. This is first one with Asus. Moderators are not ready to help out here..!! It's really very pathetic..!! Asus please look into this issue and address asap.

see my thread here..  Its a bug in 1800 mhz band.. Plss adress this issue.. The store change my unit 2x but the problem didnt solve.. I though this is sofware issue..  This issue is in sim1 only but in sim2 theirs is no problem..
